Before Megan started Helping Hands for Seniors she was the helping hands for the Rawdon Family. Back in 2016, dad’s (Philip Rawdon) health was failing and he was becoming forgetful. My sisters and I work full time and were not able to be with dad as often as we would have liked to and we knew we needed a special person to help us out. That special person was Megan, she was great with dad. She would come Monday morning and help write a list for the store, this would be their outing for the day. She would prepare for him his favorite scallops with rice & Beef Stew. ( just like mom use to make.) This made dad very happy. Megan was not only a care taker she was a great companion. She and dad would sit and talk for hours. They would enjoy their car rides together for haircuts and doctor appointments. When dad went to Florida for the winter he wanted to take Megan with him because no one could cook and care for him like Megan did. Megan was not just a caretaker she became part of our family. Thank you Megan for taking such good care of dad.
